Since 1967, Triad Sports Car Club has been bringing Autocross to the Triad area of North Carolina. TSCC hosts at least 9 autocross events each season at various sites across the Triad. Whether you are a complete novice, a casual driver who competes locally, or a hardcore competitor who attends every national and local event they can find, we have something you. TSCC strives to host events that have something for everyone.
TSCC utilizes SCCA SOLO® Rules & Safety regulations for our autocross events.
What is Autocross?
You can think of Autocross as an agility contest for cars and drivers. Just like in downhill skiing or show jumping, competitors negotiate a course as quickly as possible, racing against the clock. In Autocross, the course is laid out with traffic cones on a parking lot or runway. Because the relative speeds are low and there is no passing between competitors, it’s a safe and inexpensive way to get into amateur motorsports. But don’t let that fool you—Autocross is intense, exciting, and challenging.
